OVERVIEW
With cities covering just 3% of the earth’s land surface but accounting for over 70% of global CO2 emissions, the urgency to achieve net-zero emissions is more pressing than ever. Singapore has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Co-organized with Henning Larsen, this is the first public “Unboxing Carbon” session in Singapore, following successful private sessions with two Singapore government agencies. The session will begin with a lecture examining industry-leading policies implemented by Denmark and Europe towards achieving net-zero emissions. This will include case studies on three different types of low-carbon projects in Scandinavia. Following the lecture, participants will engage in the interactive Unboxing Carbon workshop, with a focus on dialog and the intuitive understanding of embodied carbon associated with building materials. It will be followed by a panel discussion featuring our trainer from Copenhagen and leaders in the Built Environment sector, delving into decarbonization and embodied carbon, with ample opportunities for Q&A.
